Welcome to Alaska Telepsychology!

In 2018, AKT became the first Alaskan private mental health practice to offer in-state telepsychology services. We have years of experience providing psychotherapy, psychological testing, and psychiatric care and medication management via encrypted videoconferencing, making us uniquely prepared to support Alaskans.

Patients meet their clinician on an encrypted videoconferencing platform using a smartphone, computer, or tablet. Our technology protects personal health information and complies with state and federal regulations.

On June 21, 2016, Alaska Governor Bill Walker signed State Bill 74 into law expanding telemedicine in Alaska to clinical psychologists. The governor also signed House Bill 234, which requires insurance companies to cover telehealth visits the same as office visits.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, House Bill 29 was signed into law, further requiring all private health insurers operating in Alaska to cover telepsychology.

Alaska Statute 08 requires all mental health professionals practicing in Alaska to be licensed in our state. All of our clinicians are licensed in Alaska and understand the unique challenges of urban and rural life in our state.
